Desi Wraps

Call it wraps or Burritos or Frankies, they are easy and tasty…so here goes the recipe for the desi one

The wraps can be made out of wheat flour or all purpose flour or ready made tortillas are available in shops

Ingredients to make about 10 wraps

Wheat flour – 2 cups – make a dough as we do for rotis

Ghee for making the rotis

vegetables for stuffing –  a combination of capsicum, tomatoes and onion with paneer cubes or an assortment of veggies like potatoes, carrots, beans, peas – 1 cup cooked and mashed

Vegetable Mayonnaise – 1/2 cup

Tomato sauce – 4 tablespoons – I used this to get a tangy flavour

Pizza (sauce)topping – 5 tablespoons

Chopped coriander, green chillies and onions for garnish

Steps:

1) Make rotis with the wheat flour

2) Spread Pizza sauce on the cooked roti

3) Mix mayonnaise and tomato sauce together to form a smooth paste

4) Spread it on the roti over the pizza sauce

5) Place the cooked vegetables in the middle of the roti

6) Garnish with the coriander, chillies and onions

7) Fold the bottom part and then wrap it from both the sides

8) Finally wrap it with silver foil so that it holds the contents properly
